Big Sky Welsh Ponies, since 2009, has been breeding Section B Welsh with a focus on kind temperaments, quality gaits, solid bone, quality conformation and trainability. Imported stallion, Celton Samba, is a very kind boy with big, reaching gaits and classic Section B conformation. He adds substance and refinement to our big-bodied large mares. Samba and mares, with Downland breeding, exemplify the classic Section B Welsh Pony quality that you find across the pond.

Samba was bred by the Williams family, Celton Stud, Swansea, Wales. He was born in 2010 and produced several excellent foals during his time in Wales. He was imported to the U.S. by Suzanne Moody, Glenhaven Welsh, in 2014, where he continued producing foals for 5 years. In 2019 Suzanne decided to retire and sold half ownership to Katie Radtke (Big Sky Welsh Ponies) and Yates Colby (Summit Welsh), where he moved out west to Montana. Samba is living his best life in the mountains with his mares and foals. He is known to be the “kindest stallion” they ever knew, according to the Williams Family. He passes on his kind, intelligent disposition, excellent topline, correct, reaching gaits, beautiful head, and overall Section B Type. He is the best pony on the farm for the farrier. He loves to be caught and get attention. He is kind to his mares and foals, and maintains impeccable manners. He can be collected easily, hand bred, and is quite adept at pasture breeding. There truly are not enough words that can adequately describe how wonderful this pony is.

Mysty is a great mare. She stands at 13.3 Not only does she turn heads with her looks and flaxen mane and tail, but she has a sound mind and a willing nature. Mysty has had 4 months professional training. Walk, trot canter both directions and enjoys trail riding. She is currently schooling flatwork and started over fences. She is brave in the arena and out on the trails. I think she would be a fun little eventing pony, but would be suitable for any discipline.

He is ready to be started under saddle and go in any direction…hunters, jumpers, dressage or eventing.
